A U.S. 501(c)(3) Public Charity Advancing Locally Led Growth in East and Southern Africa

IMC Africa Forward Foundation helps African leaders, businesses, farmers, institutions, and communities build lasting prosperity. We invest in the people and organizations closest to the work, so progress is locally owned, locally led, and built to last.

We focus on what moves economies forward: stronger agricultural value chains, a skilled and employed workforce, expanded access to trade and markets, and local institutions strong enough to lead. Across all of it, our goal is the same: to help partners reach the point where they no longer need us.

Focus Regions: East and Southern Africa
Core Areas: Agriculture, trade, workforce, institutions, women and youth enterprise
Model: Locally led partnerships, co-design, institutional strengthening, and market access
Founder Experience: 21+ years in international development, agriculture, trade, and public-sector program leadership

Africa Forward Foundation’s work is aligned with a growing continental shift toward African-led growth, equal partnership, value-added agriculture, youth enterprise, trade, innovation, and locally driven solutions.

We believe Africa’s future will be shaped not by dependency, but by the leadership of its communities, entrepreneurs, farmers, youth, women, institutions, and governments. Our role is to support that leadership by strengthening systems, expanding market access, building skills, and connecting partners to the tools, networks, and opportunities needed for long-term prosperity.
